Last week’s annual Glenfinnan Gathering was enjoyed by locals and holidaymakers alike. ¬†Sunny weather, an excellent range of stalls and plenty of entrants for the piping competition meant there was lots to entertain young and old alike.

Just before the games began, the world-famous Glenfinnan Monument was officially re-opened by Professor Hugh Cheape, vice-president of the National Trust for Scotland, after its £170,000 restoration.

The 2017 games will take place on Saturday, 19 August.
